Welcome to the Loan Market Association

The Loan Market Association (LMA), which was formed in 1996, is Europe's trade association for the syndicated loan markets. The LMA offers membership at institutional level. Currently the LMA has over 380 members comprising banks, institutional investors, law firms, system and information providers and other market participants.

The LMA's core activities comprise:

• Provision of recommended documentation for both primary and secondary syndicated loan markets;
• Establishing market practice;
• A wide range of education and training events throughout Europe and the Middle East;
• Collective lobbying; and
• Networking opportunities.
